Projects

So last week Amber & I went to the Quilt Show, a yearly outing. As always, I come away from it inspired & motivated to do more craft projects. So on Friday, Zach & I made this quilt top together. Ok, so it isn't very intricate or complicated, but I was able to the whole thing, start to finish, during one of Chloe's naps. And now I feel proud of myself. I just wish my mom & sisters were close by to join in the fun with me.

wow in one nap and with the help of a 4 year old. Does that mean you cut it all out also or just sewed it together? I love it. Anything sewn I love

That is cute. Those are my favorite kind now, with the big blocks. The kind you can actually do. The smaller blocks take so long I lose interest.

Very cute!

OK so now I am sad that I never learned how to sew. That's awesome that you were able to make that in one nap time. You're totally suzie homemaker. Love,
Angie

That quilt top is pretty impressive. I can't even sew a straight line!

Ames, which pattern did you use from those emails. I have to come up with an easy top for my mia maids to make during the next year. I want it to be more than two pieces of fabric sewn together like the other leader was thinking, so I'm trying to find easy easy patterns like that.

You are inspiring, Amy. I got a new sewing machine for Christmas and I have only used it once so far. I think I might actually try to make this quilt that I promised Sean 5 years ago. The story goes that I made him retire some of his favorite shirts because they were too old and thin even though he loved them. I wanted them to go in the garbage, but we compromised and I told him to save them and I'd make them into a quilt for him. Haha, guess I should keep my end of the bargain! Oh, and by the way, our star quilt that we made for college is everyone's favorite blanket in our house.
